Assessment of employee stress and fatigue

  • Declarative data: daily data collection on working hours and activity, sleep diaries of your employees with the l’application mobile Welbees app.
    • Fatigue assessments at the beginning and end of work shifts. The Samn-Perelli, the widely used scale for fatigue assessments and one of the methods recommended by ICAO, provides a benchmark for critical fatigue levels.
    • Other data associated with workload and/or other contextual factors can also be included in the survey to account for the contribution of the operational environment to employee fatigue.
    • From this data, the ratio of individual sleep requirements to actual sleep time will be calculated. Rather than expressing an absolute sleep duration, this method expresses sleep deprivation in terms of individual sleep requirements.
  • Depending on the objectives of the study we can also collect objective data on sleep using dedicated devices (actimetry)
  • We also collect individual information on the profile of your employees, while respecting confidentialité des données.
  • Interviews with employees with the aim of identifying the main situations of exposure to the risk of fatigue and their consequences on the activity. These interviews could be organised in two manners:
    • Individual interviews,
    • Focus groups (collective interviews), which have the advantage of creating a dynamic within the group which facilitates the generation of ideas about fatigue and its risks.
  • Questionnaire surveys, in order to be able to quantify more precisely the contribution of the different risk factors identified during the interviews and to measure the employees' perception of the way in which the company currently manages duty hours and more generally the risk of fatigue.
  • Feedback analysis, during which the main feedbacks likely to be relevant to the assessment of fatigue risk will be analysed by Welbees. This may include fatigue reports, ASRs and CSRs or other material. This analysis will aim to confirm and complement the results of the interviews and questionnaire. Based on this analysis, recommendations for improving the collection and use of this feedback will be proposed.

All these actions will make it possible to build an initial mapping of the fatigue risks to which the company is exposed.

  • Nous avons développé l’outil Welbees App pour digitise and automate data collection from your employees. Our application is based on extensive work in partnership with our clients and UX (User Experience) experts to ensure ease of use for employees
  • We use machine learning algorithms to model the collected data and provide an accurate explanation of fatigue risk, to better predict it!
  • Our algorithms are adapted to the data of each company's employees, which allows us to assess the specific risk factors as close as possible to your activity
  • Assessment of employee stress and fatigue
  • Recommendations and implementation of measures for individual and organisational management of the risk of fatigue (naps, breaks, working hours, workload...)
  • Communication elements for employees
  • Training and raising of the awareness of managers and employees
    • Update the scientific knowledge on fatigue in aeronautics.
    • Consolidate the skills of inspectors on the audit of Fatigue Risk Management Systems (FRMS).
    • The proposed training will be based on the most recent scientific knowledge in the field of fatigue, feedback from airlines and the application of knowledge through practical exercises.
